ROBERT O'REILLY

Robert O'Reilly has been associated with The Colony since a year after its inception and has been seen by Colony audiences in numerous Mainstage and Bonus productions including The Diary of Anne Frank, Poor Murderer, A Company of Wayward Saints, Fahrenheit 451, The Grapes of Wrath, And Then There Were None, Sunfire Man, Duck d'Amour, Intermission Feature, The Skin of Our Teeth, Mr. Roberts, True West, and most recently in When the Bough Breaks, and Dandelion Wine.Other Los Angeles appearances include the role of Edmund in King Lear at Los.Angeles Theatrre Center and Hamlet/Fortinbras in the Charles Marowitz interpretation of Hamlet at Los Angeles Actor's Theatre. His New York credits include the Broadway revival of The Tavern, the off-Broadway production of The Promise, and Nam Jun Pike's I at Carnegie Hall.
On film, audiences have seen him in The Mask, Ken Russell’s Whore, Candyman 3, Omega Code, Good Luck, Steel Frontier, and starring in Moonbase.
Robert has guest-starred on many television shows including Archie Bunker's Place, Dallas, Falcon Crest, Cheers, Max Headroom, Murder She Wrote, Paradise, Hill Street Blues, Cop Rock, Walker Texas Ranger, Dr. Quinn Medicine Women, In the Heat of the NIght (two seasons as Carl DeLissa) and the pilots The Phantom and Darkroom, as well as many made for TV movies including Desperado, World War III, From Here to Eternity, By Dawn's Early Light and in Ken Russell's film, Whore. He regularly appeared in "Heat of the Night" as Carl DeLissa, in "Dark Justice" as Sal the Hammer. He created and played the role of the Klingon leader, Gowron, for nine seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. He is also featured character in the 3-CD ROM computer game Star Trek Klingon.
As a director, Robert has staged the Colony productions of The Curious Savage, Bearcat, 'night, Mother, 17 Days, Morning's at Seven, The Cocktail Hour, The Clearing, and Getting Out, for which he received a Drama-Logue Award and a Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle nomination. One of his proudest achievements as a Colony member was directing the World Premiere of Generations by Dennis Clontz, which the American Theatre Critics’ Association cited, along with August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson, as one of the best new plays presented that year outside New York City.
Mr. O’Reilly and his wife Judy have triplet sons, born January 1, 1997, at 12:01, 12:03, and 12:04 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital here in Burbank.
