PAUL Mc GILLION

Paul McGillion plays Dr. Carson Beckett, the team's Chief Medical Doctor in Sony Pictures Television's hit series "Stargate Atlantis" for the SCI FI Channel. The lovable Scottish physician has a witty sense of humor and his ability to activate 'Ancient' technology frequently lands him in compromising situations.

Paul McGillion recently completed filming on the political thriller "The Deal" starring Christian Slater and Selma Blair and received a Leo Award nomination for his portrayal of Dominic McKinley in the upcoming "See Grace Fly," a feature film on which he also served as producer. Written and directed by Pete McCormack, the film received a total of nine Leo Award nominations including Best Actor, won the Audience Award at the Portugal International Film Festival and was also recognized with a special citation for Best Film at the 2003 Vancouver International Film Festival.

Other feature film credits include "A Guy Thing" with Jason Lee and Julia Stiles, "The Replicant" starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Michael Rooker, "The Crying Freeman" with Cheky Karyo, "Something More" with Thomas Cavanagh, "The Odd Squad" with Bruce Greenwood, and the feature film "Jack," where McGillion plays opposite Ron Silver and Stockard Channing. As well, Paul recently completed the soon-to-be-released animated feature "Inspector Gadget" in which he plays Dr. Evil's unscrupulous sidekick, Bomba Boy.

Television credits include lead and guest starring roles in "Jake 2.0," "Smallville," "The X-Files," "Twilight Zone," "Just Cause," "Stargate SG-1," "Strange World," "DaVinci's Inquest," and the recurring role of David Aitken on "Cold Squad." He also appeared in the television movies "N.S.T.B." with Mandy Patinkin, "A Cooler Climate" with Sally Field and Judy David, and "Dark Target" with Kim Delaney.

Theatre credits across Canada include "Spike Heels," "Savage in Limbo," "The Foreigner," "Piano," "Men Without Dates," the Canadian premiere of "El Salvador," and the Jessie Award nominated "Reservations For Two," which McGillion also produced and directed to rave reviews.
