Laura Bertram

Laura Bertram plays the spirited but mysterious Trance Gemini.

Bertram brings a wealth of acting experience to Andromeda, including two prestigious Gemini Awards as well as three nominations for the award. Her background includes a number of television credits including Dear America…So Far From Home by HBO, Ready or Not by Disney Channel, Seasons of Love by CBS, Third Eye by PAX-TV and Are You Afraid of the Dark by Nickelodeon. She has also appeared in a variety of made-for-television-movies including Night of the Twisters by Family Channel and Atlantis Films, Sins of Silence by Warner Brothers and Platinum by Shadow Shows and Label Platinum Inc.

Bertram's list of theater credits include the lead in Cinderella and Mario and the Magician with The Canadian Opera Company. Her training includes seven years study with the Canadian Children's Opera Chorus.

 

 

Laura has two younger sisters, Heather and Jennifer.

She sings, and Laura was brought into the world of acting due to her performance in various operas. Her singing in the CCOC (Canadian Childrens' Opera Chorus) started her into operas.

Attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario for one year before transferring to a university closer to her home in Toronto.

Spent nine years training to be a ballerina.
