R.A. has been writing and editing comic books professionally for nearly 20 years.  His credits include the long-running sci-fi adventure series "Scimidar," "Dark Wolf," "Merlin," "Ferret." "The Protectors," and "StarTrek:DS9" for Malibu Comics.

 

He has also written a Green Lantern story for DC Comics' "Showcase '95" and for Dark Horse Comics "Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor,"  and for several years wrote a newspaper column of entertainment reviews and social commentary.

 

 His recent credits include writing the comics series "Automaton" and "Bulletproof  Monk" and serving as story editor of "The Deception," all for Image Comics.  "Bulletproof  Monk" was made into a motion picture, produced by John Woo and starring Chow Yun Fat, which was released this year..

 

R.A. also edited and assisted with the writing of "2001 Memories," an autobiographical memoir of "2001: A Space Odyssey" star Gary Lockwood.  He is also writing "Guardians of Tomorrow," which may see print as both a comic book series and a novel, and will soon begin work on a new comic book mini-series to be published by Marvel Comics, for whom he wrote one issue of the mini-series "Weapon X".

 

Most recently, R.A. wrote the story "3 On A Match," which appeared in the 6th issue of METAL HURLANT magazine.  He is also writing the English adaptation of the Korean comic book series KING OF HELL for Tokyopop.

 

He returns this year in his recurring double role as TREK EXPO's master of ceremonies and charity auctioneer.
